Aims of the Association

  1. To encourage the reunion of members past and present of No 74 (F) Squadron.
  2. To maintain the spirit of camaraderie, goodwill and charity characteristic of the Squadron.

The Association came into being in October 1992 under the chairmanship of a former CO, Group Captain Graham Clarke, when the Squadron stood down as a front-line unit. Its aims are to encourage social contact between members of No 74 (F) Squadron and to maintain the spirit of fellowship, goodwill and charity which has always characterised the Squadron. By keeping the name and tradition of ‘The Tigers’ alive, the Association aims to work for the return of the Squadron to front-line service.

Membership, which currently stands at approximately 260 members, is open to all ranks and reunions are held annually at the start of each year, usually in or around March time. A newsletter, Tiger News, appears at least 4 times per year.
