P38 LIGHTNING

This Video clip is about 25 mins long but an interesting insight into flying the P-38 Lightning.
Unfortunately Jeff Ethel’s Dad (a former WW II P-38 Ace) was at the airport watching Jeff land the P-38 when he had a fuel problem, crashed and was killed.

The East Anglian Film Archive has just released over 200 films online covering a multitude of subjects relating to Norfolk and Suffolk and a little further beyond. Amongst them three of RAF Coltishall in the early 1960s are featured and in one there is an interview with a very young Vaughan Radford and others on the station and some excellent film of the Lightning’s.?Click on the link below and type RAF Coltishall in Search .
